    Further to Inventors of Tradition I, Atelier E.B. and Panel launch a new book, exploring connections between art, architecture, and checking back in with a textile design tradition extraordinary to Scotland. An arts curatorial practice, Panel commissioned an essay by Rebecca Wober on Womersley and Klein, describing High Sunderland and the Studio.

    Pecha Kucha Edinburgh volume 35 is entirely devoted to the appreciation of architect Peter Womersley. 7pm, 30th September 2016, Epworth Halls, Nicolson Square, Edinburgh. 8 speakers from diverse places including the National Museums, the Portrait Gallery, Heriot Watt and Historic Scotland will give their own viewpoint on the architect and his work .

    I was interviewed by Melita Hachey, who came through from Galashiels where she is studying on the Fashion Communication course. She and five colleagues have self-published a striking magazine, Kandor, “to uncover the specialist craft and culture unique to the Scottish Borders”

    We met with the artist Felicity Bristow who has expressed a desire to work with the boiler house space for a site specific artwork. This was felicitous as I had already been impressed by the strength and delicacy of Bristow’s work at Edinburgh’s Hidden Doors festival in May 2015, and at Whitespace, Gayfield Sqaure.

    The RIBA Journal have selected a photograph of Farnley Hey, for the inside back page “Culture: Parting Shot” slot in the December 2015 issue of the magazine. It was taken by R H de Burgh Galway, in the heyday of the house, before the first floor terrace was glazed in by subsequent owners.
